The councillor for Innovation and Energy, Misericòrdia Ramon, and the councillor for Tourism, Celestí Alomar, participated on Wednesday at the Consolat de Mar, in the presentation of the
"Electricity Saving Guide" elaborated by experts of the Department of Innovation and Energy and by the electrical company, Gesa, and aimed at Balearic tourists. The ceremony was attended by the commercial manager of Gesa, Enrique Gallango; the president of the Asociación de Restauración de Mallorca, José Luis Gaspart. The Guide intends to obtain an annual electricity saving in hotels of over 140.000.000 kwh, 4% of the whole present consumption, which would represent a saving of over 200.000.000 pesetas per year and would avoid over 126.000 Tm of CO2.
