This Christmas give environment to your Island

The councillor for Environment of the Govern, Margalida Rosselló, presented yesterday at the Baleart exhibition, the campaign "This Christmas give environment to your island", that aims to promote consumer habits that are respectful to the environment this Christmas. The posters of the campaign incorporate messages such as "Leave your car and shop on foot, you will get there earlier". At the same time, the president of the Govern, Francesc Antich, received a representation of the GOB, led by the interinsular president of this entity, Joan Rita. Sources near the ecological association confirm that it was a courtesy meeting, but that they were to reiterate their position on the ecotax and other questions that affect the environment of the islands.

Also on Thursday, the Presidency Councillor, Antoni Garcias, presented an outline of the "Law for Insular Councils" at the Consolat de Mar. The ceremony was followed live via Internet. The draft law for the Insular Councils elaborated by the Govern promotes the role played by the Full Meetings of the insular institutions as fiscal controllers of the executive committees of the Insular Councils.
