"Foguerons" (bonfires) from Sa Pobla in Barcelona

The festivity of Sant Antoni returns to the "vila" de Gràcia of Barcelona for the eighth consecutive year thanks to the initiative of the cultural association, Albopàs, presided by the Sa Pobla chemist Antoni Torrens. Nearly 400 people from Sa Pobla (poblers) will make the trip to celebrate this party and to continue the cultural links between the two places.

On the web of the Centre Artesà Tradicionarius in Gràcia can be found the programme that will take place next Saturday round the bonfires in the Diamant and Virreina squares to grill the llonganisses and botifarrons from Sa Pobla, and the dances and Mallorcan and Menorcan songs with the "colles de xeremiers" (typical musicians).

During the dance, which coincides with the Main Fiesta of Gràcia, the groups s'Albaida from Menorca, and s'Estol des Picot and Fora des Sembrat from Mallorca will perform.
