Natural Park: associate, find out, but do not be radical

The group "Tramuntana 2000" from Sóller has written an article, that we publish whole, with their point of view about the declaration of the Tramuntana Range as a Natural Park. The collective thinks that the conversion of the Serra in a Natural Park will be welcome if the following conditions are fulfilled:

1. The rights of private property, both large and small owners, are respected.

2. It serves to conserve and rehabilitate the traditional heritage of the Serra and its traditional uses, stopping the present degradation that occurs at all levels.

3. It serves to obtain a better control of the rural areas, both public and private.

4. To control the transit of tourists and excursionists round the Serra.

5. It favours the tourist image of our area and helps to develop tourism of quality and winter season.

6. It helps to control and fulfil the current urbanistic rules of the Serra.

7. The Park should have a good and well administered budget.
