"El Ball de les Balenes" at the Teatre del Mar

The company EN BLANC is presenting "El ball de les Balenes" de Biel Jordà at the Teatre del Mar, from May 3 to 7. This productions is the evolution of the dramatized reading that took place at the Teatre del Mar last year, as from the text that won the Teatre Principal Prize for Theatrical Texts.

"El ball de les Balenes" explains - with tender and ironic daily language - the reencounter of a young squatter with his father, considering one of the great universal topics: abuse of power. José Sanchís Sinistierra says in his prologue of the play: "Maturity and youth are linked together in this play, not only by the mixture of its freshness and aesthetic strength, that characterise it formally, but also by its well obtained balance between novelty and consistency, expressive formality and structural rigour, and also for the generational theme that the text expresses.
