Música Nostra: "Live"

The coming April 29, at Ses Voltes in Palma, the new CD by Música Nostra called "En directo" will be presented. As its name indicates, this record has been created from live performances by Musica Nostra, in all the squares of Mallorca in the summer of 1999. It has the music for "ball de bot" (folk dancing) and other dances: boleros, fandangos, jigs, etc.

Immediately after, Musica Nostra will go to Catalonia to participate in the Festival de la Carbonera, dedicated to Mallorcan, Occitane and Catalan music, dancing and traditions, to be held between April 27 and May 1 at the Gironés. The festival, organised by the Ateneu of the Vall de Llémena, has the support and collaboration of numerous businesses and institutions of Catalonia, the Balearis and Perpignan.

Meanwhile the Music Special 98/99 by MallorcaWeb, contains fragments in Real Audio of two of Musica Nostra's melodies: Bolero amor platònic... and Jota de sa potada.
