Concert by the Blauets and Camerata "Sa Nostra" at the Torrent de Pareis

This coming July 9, as from 5.30 p.m. there will be the annual Concert del Torrent de Pareis (Escorca), one of the most singular musical events of the Mallorcan summer. In an exceptional setting, the sweet voices of the Lluc pupils Blauets choir, accompanied by the Camerata "Sa Nostra".

The open-air concerts at the Torrent de Pareis started in 1964 through the initiative of the artist, Josep Coll Bardolet, and at first the performances were almost intimate. Later, the Capella Mallorquina took over the organisation of the concert, and year after year, the event acquired strength. At present the concert gathers together thousands of people, attracted by the marvellous combination of the beauty of the scenery and harmony of the music.

The Escolania Blauets de Lluc sang at the Torrent de Pareis for the first time fifteen years ago, sharing time with the Capella Mallorquina. This year they will be accompanied by the Camerata "Sa Nostra". Other choirs and musical groups have participated in the concert, such as the University Choir, Música d'Avui, Bellver, etc.
