The music festival "Noches Mediterráneas" is the first of the activities organised by the Costa Nord Cultural Centre, a project
promoted by the actor, Michael Douglas, to introduce the culture and scenery of the Serra de Tramuntana to the world.
The festival will be held in June, July and August and will have performances, amongst others, by Carmen Linares, Ginesa Ortega,
Michel Camilo & Tomatito, Golden Gospel Singers, Philip Glass, Uri Caine & Ensemble, A filetta, Pino de Vittorio and Maria del Mar
Bonet accompanied by the Ensemble du Musique Traditionelles of Tunisia. Corsican Polyphonies, tarantellas, flamenco, jazz and
contemporary music will give format to the festival, with an aim to entertain the travelling spirit via a fusion of styles, traditions, the
respect for the different cultures that live in the Mediterranean, and the curiosity towards new forms of creativity and experiment.
