The artist
Rafael Amengual is exhibiting his work at the "Casal de
Cultura Can Creu d'Inca" in Capdepera. The exhibition, that is part of
the summer programme to commemorate the "
700 years of the Capdepera
Castle" was opened on Friday, June 30; it will remain open until July
30, from Tuesday to Sundays between 7 and 9 p.m.
The exhibition contains works of mixed techniques on canvas, all of them
created in Rafael Amengual's new studio in Manacor, set in an old
windmill of the XVII century, that the artist has restored to work in it
and to share with other people interested in the world of art,
converting it in a real cultural centre where they can exchange
knowledge, examine in depth different techniques and supports available
to creators.
Rafael Amengual has always been interested in searching for new work
tools, and is particularly attracted by the strength and delicacy of the
contrast between pictures with carbon on handmade canvas and paper.
