Joan Andreu Juan Torrens has a website on the net dedicated to
rambling
on Mallorca, that contains a wide variety of proposals for different
kinds of walkers, together with photographs, descriptions of
itineraries, maps, bibliography....
Joan Andreu suggests, amongst others, the climb up the Puig des Teix
from the Son Gual tower house in Valldemossa; the excursion to la Mola
de Planícia following the route that starts at the road that joins
Esporles and Puigpunyent; the climb up the Penyal del Migdia on the
north side of the Puig Major visible from the valley of Sóller; the
climb up Puig de l'Ofre from the Cúber plain; the climb up Sa Costera
coming out at the Mirador de Ses Barques; the climb up to La Trapa in
the municipality of Andratx; the trip to the Torrent de Mortitx, between
Lluc and Pollença; and finally the descent to the Torrent de Pareis, in
Escorca, the mythical Mallorcan walk that is recommendable only in the
summer as the rest of the year there is too much water in the wells.
With this web, that grows daily, Joan Andreu encourages us to walk in
the mountains of Mallorca and to have the opportunity of enjoying the
virgin areas and the most spectacular panoramic views of the Island.
