WHAT? Fresh news from Andratx

The Youth and Occupation Centre of the Andratx Council has started to edit an informative news bulleting called QUÈ? that will be distributed every 15 days and contains varied information about the services that the centre offers and about cultural and sporting activities that are carried out in the municipality.

Amongst the information published in the first number, worth stressing are the cycle of FRESH AIR NIGHTS concerts that will be held in the patio of the Son Mas Castle (Andratx Town Hall) with the following programme:

Thursday, August 10
At 10 p.m.: Chamber orchestra Quarteto Arraiga (string). Finalists in the Art Jove 2000 for young performers.

Thursday, August 17
At 9.30 p.m.: Piano concert by the soloist Maria Tomàs Vicens, first prize winner of the young soloists contest in Art Jove 2000
At 10.30 p.m.: Concert by the vocal group "The Scholars" Renaisance and Baroque music.

Thursday August 24
At 10 p.m.: Concert by the group "Pla Forana" Traditional music.

At the same time, special mention must be made of the information concerning the local fiestas:

FIESTAS DE SANT ELM
August 4, 5, 6 and 19
Friday 4 at 9.30 p.m. Moors and Christians on the Sant Elm beach.
Saturday 19: Popular fiesta with Sardines and live music.

FIESTAS DE SA COMA:
August 12, 13, 14 and 15: Festes de la Mare de Deu d’agost.

FIESTAS DE S'ARRACÓ:
August 25, 26, 27 and 28: Festes de Sant Agustí.
