Antoni Aloy presents "Presence of Mind" at the San Sebastian film festival

According to LaVila.org, the Santa Margalida web side, the film "Presence of mind", directed by Antoni Aloy, who comes from 'La Vila', will be presented soon at the important International Film Festival of Donostia - San Sebastian, that will be held from September 21 to 30. Afterwards it will be presented in Mallorca. The film, based on the classic horror story "Turn of the Screw" by Henry James, has an extraordinary cast: Lauren Bacall, Harvey Keitel, and Sadie Frost, amongst others.

The film was taken in Spring 1999 in Raixa, the spectacular property in Bunyola that at the beginning of the 80s was also the scene of the film "Bearn, o la sala de les nines", based on the novel by Llorenç Villalonga, starring Fernando Rey, Imanol Arias and Ángela Molina. Some of the scenes in "Presence of Mind" were filmed on board the Rafael Verdera, the oldest active boat in the Spanish fleet, that has also participated in the production of several films.

Meanwhile, the young film director, Antoni Aloy, participated together with the author, Biel Mesquida, in writing the scripts for the film "El Mar", based on the novel of the same name by Blai Bonet, what premiered last February at the Berlinale and was shown in Mallorca, in the Catalan version, in the spring of this year.
