Artà: The animal carnaval

The Cloister of the Arta Convent will hold the last concert in the XII Antoni Lliteras Classical Music Festival next Saturday, September 9 at 9 p.m., "El Carnaval dels animals", a work by Camille Saint-Saëns, directed by Josep F. Palou with text by Miquel Mestre.

The organisers have wished to make this last concert coincide with the celebration of the Arta Fair, forming part of the cultural events that complement the fair. Therefore the concert, "El carnaval dels animals" is a different proposal, aimed at the whole family, where the musical instruments will present the characters, or animals, in an amusing way. Lions, cockerels and hens, wild horses, elephants, kangaroos, an aquarium, donkeys, birds....

The Arta Fair is held every year on the second Sunday in September. Therefore on September 10 there will be a grand exhibition of stands all round the centre of the town, where all kinds of animals, vehicles, objects and tools can be found.
