Ca's Campaneter: hand-made espadrilles

The work shop Ca's Campaneter, in the municipality of Campanet, continues to manufacture artisan espadrilles, using natural materials, such as jute, linen, cotton and natural raffia.

Toni Amengual, artisan master at Ca's Campaneter, continues the tradition of Campanet as the birthplace of the manufacture of espadrilles in Mallorca. The workshop, recognised by the Balearic Government with the denomination distinction "Balearic Product", is creating at present models according to fashion without abandoning artisan manufacture.

On September 29 and 30 and October 1, they will exhibit their production in Madrid, at Modacalzado, the Shoe and Leather Fair organised by the Madrid Fair (IFEMA). The attendance at this fair, together with other shoe manufacturers of the Balearics, is promoted by the Institute of Industrial Development (IDI), the entity depending on the Balearic Department of Economy, that has made the stand 8E-30 of the fair available to all the exhibitors.
