In the early hours of September 9 to 10, once more the walk up to
the Lluc Sanctuary from the outer villages "Pujada a Lluc a Peu de la Part
Forana", organised by the "Associació d'Antics Blavets de Lluc" will
take place. This year, the event commemorates the XXI anniversary,
coinciding with the jubilee year and as usual a large participation is
expected from all the towns of Mallorca. Thousands of pilgrims will
attend, faithfully, to this annual appointment, which combines religion,
culture, tradition, nature and sport.
The "Pujada a Lluc a Peu de la Part Forana" is a collective
manifestation with very special significance for Mallorcans, people with
their own history and identity who faithfully keep their traditions
without losing a vision towards the future.
Besides the "Pujada de la Part Forana", each year other walks are held,
such as the "
marxa des Güell a Lluc a peu", at the beginning of August;
the "pujada de Marratxí", that will take place the coming September 17.
