6a workshop for artistic printing at the "Sa Nostra" cultural centre

The Sala Grande at the "Sa Nostra" Cultural Centre will hold, until October 28, an interesting exhibition dedicated to the techniques of artistic printing, by Edicions 6a Obra Gràfica. The exhibition includes works by different artists edited in the 6a Workshop, an exhibition of antique tools and also offers the possibility of seeing at first hand the printing techniques in the workshop that has been installed in the Hall, open between 4.30 and 8.30 p.m.

The recovery of the artistic printing techniques in Mallorca is thanks, in great part, to the efforts carried out by Taller 6a. Thanks to Edicions 6a Obra Gràfica, the lithography, xylography or etching have managed to emerge from lethargy they had been submitted to because of the appearance, particularly, of the new technologies. Over their 18 years' existence, the work of the Taller has been, as well as abundant, a fundamental element for the promotion of graphic work as another form of artistic expression.

Since 1982, nearly ninety Mallorcan artist and from other places have benefited from the possibilities offered by the Workshop and over 1,000 works have been published.
