Let's speak about the handicapped, at the "Caixa" Foundation

The "Caixa" Foundation, is organising a conference called "Hablemos de discapacidad" that intends to approach us to a problem and human world, from the point of view of the normalisation of handicapped people, analysing what they can bring to society with their active participation. This will be discussed from different aspects of daily life in present day society, to get to know better the handicapped people, to learn to respect the differences, not as a negative element and discrimination but rather as a present and common value.

The cycle started on October 18 and will continue until February 7, 2001. All the conferences are on Wednesdays and start at 7.30 p.m. The coordinator is Joan Jordi Muntaner i Guasp, professor in the department of Educational Science at the UIB.
