The transporters of merchandise of the Balearics are seconding, as from
Monday, the three consecutive day strike called by the sector throughout
Spain, in protest against the high price of fuel.
Both the Asociación de Transportistas por Autocamiones de S.P. de
Mallorca (ASTAM S.P.), integrated in the Federation of Small and Medium
Businesses of Mallorca (
PIMEM), and the Federación Empresarial Balear de
Transportes (FEBT), integrated in the Confederation of Businesses of the
Balearics (
CAEB), are seconding the stop.
This stop joins the protests of last week in which the Union of Farmers,
the Federation of Fisherment and the transporters of ASTAM S.P. blocked
the installations of CLH in Palma, impeding the distribution of fuel
from Monday to Wednesday afternoon, when they decided to abandon the
place due to the presence of over 100 national policemen.
