The "
Sa Nostra" Cultural Centre, carrer Concepció, 12 in Palma, is holding, from
November 3 to 16, the exhibition "Graham Sutherland 1903 -1980". The pictorial work by the British artist, Graham
Sutherland, are found in the principal museums all over the world. With Henry Moor and Francis Bacon, he forms the most
important trio of British art from the middle of the XX century.
According to the organisers, "The exhibition is in two parts. In the first, we can find paintings and drawing that correspond to
his French state, started in 1947 when he visited the Picasso Museum of Antibol and contacted Picasso. Secondly, the
exhibition continues with the drawings of the war carried out by Graham Sutherland in 1941, 1942 and 1943. These are
drawing commissioned by the War Artists Advisory Committee, destined for the halls of the
Imperial War Museum".
