Another year the Dijous Bo in Inca has come round, one of the most
important traditions of the city, and shared by the whole Island. This
year the fiesta is part of the celebration of 100 years of the city of
Inca.
On March 13, 1900, H.M. Doña Maria Cristina, Regent of Spain in the name
of her son, Alfonso XIII, gave Inca the distinction of City. Inca
wishes to revindicate that nomination, which was due to the townsfolk's
great initiative in the Industrial Revolution, to show a city that
continues to have a peculiar energy. A city prepared to face any
challenge for the future, preserving traditions that have formed the
adventurous and united character of its citizens.
