Exhibition by Guido Dettoni at the Sant Antoniet church

The Italian sculptor, Guido Dettoni della Grazia is presenting the exhibition "Maria" at the Sant Antoniet Church, calle Sant Miquel in Palma, that can be visited until January 21, 2001.

Starting from a first wax image of Maria, the Mother of God, that he created with his eyes bandaged, the artist reproduces her in thirty three sculptures in different woods from all over the world. Sister Teresa Canyamàs asked the sculptor to make this image. In january 1998, Guido Dettoni finished giving shape to "Maria" in his studio in Palma. The exhibition, that can be visited in the Sant Antoniet Church, has been presented previously in Barcelona, Vic, Tarragona, Tortosa, Girona, Zaragoza, Asís, Verona and three times in Rome.
