The cyclist Joan Llaneras, for wining the gold medal at the the Sydney Olympic Games.
The swimmer Xavi Torres, for his achievements at the Sydney Paralympic
Games.
The ecological association GOB, for their work in favour or defence
of Mallorca.
Jaume Santandreu, from the association El Refugi, for his help to
underprivileged.
Miquel Barceló, for his artistic work.
Músics per la llengua, for their support to the Mallorcan
musicians and to the normalization of the Catalan language.
Until January 10, 2001, you can
vote
"online" for the most outstanding Mallorcan of the year via the poll
that can be found in the debate section of MallorcaWeb. You can also
publish commentaries on the subject in the opinion book.
