Science for the third millennium

Manuel Calvo Hernando, president of the Asociación Española de Periodismo Científico, will give a talk on December 12, at 7.30 p.m. at the Fundació "la Caixa" in Palma, called "Ciencia para el tercer milenio". The conference will be presented by Antoni Bennàssar i Roig, and is part of the cycle "The eve of sciences" organised by the Fundació "la Caixa".

The conference will talk about the technologies that will revolutionise the field of knowledge in the next few years. Genetic engineering, artificial intelligence, colonisation of space or quantics will be analysed by the talker from the point of view that scientific activity should reflect and respect the unity of the world and the diversity of humanity on the planet. "The guide should be wisdom and not desires for power".
