Next Friday, January 12, at the cinema Rivoli in Palma there will be the premiere of "No
ploris, Germaine". The film, that will be shown in Catalan, is a coproduction by
Catalunya, Belgium and France. A comical road movie starring a family that go along the roads
of Belgium, France and Catalunya searching for a place to initiate a new life.
The story is based on the humorous book by Claude Jasmin.
Germaine, the star, is interpreted by Rosa Renom, a Catalan actress who has become very
popular by her performance in the series on TV3 such as "Poblenou", "Nissaga de Poder"
and "El cor de la ciutat". The director is Alain de Halleux, who is also the author of the
script together with Eric van Beuren. Photography is by Philippe Guilbert.
