The ground floor of the Casal Solleric, paseo del Born, 27 in Palma,
will hold the exhibition "Premi Ciutat de Palma. Antoni Gelabert for Art
Pintura 2000". The exhibition presents the winning work, "De luz y aire,
(Retorn a Citeres)" by Ñaco Fabré de Balanzo. They are
also presenting the two works by Amable Villarroel Escancia and Mar G.
Ranedo, who received special mention by the jury, and eight more works
by artists whose works were selected as finalists for the prize:
Jaume Amigo, Rafael Bestard Más, Fco. J. Espinosa Trujillo, Enric
Font Company, Juan José Morey García, Rafael Perelló
Bosch, Adrià Pina Alegre and Joan Vallespir Aguiló.
The Premis Ciutat de Palma we awarded on
January
20, Sant Sebastian's day, in the traditional cultural dinner given
by the
Palma
Town Council.
Meanwhile, the Casal Solleric has reopened the Espai Quatre, situated
in the basement of the building, with the installation "Icono" by Santi
Picatoste. The installation comprises different pieces in the form
of translucent columns with transparencies of defined and undefined faces.
Both exhibitions will remain open until February 25.
Finally, the main floor of the Casal Solleric in Palma is holding until
March 25 the exhibition, "Suite 156" one of the series of etchings by Picasso.
