Catalan Cultural Week in New York

On February 25 the "Setmana de la Cultura Catalana a Nova York" starts, organised by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Govern de les Illes Balears and the Cambra del Llibre de Catalunya.

As far as the participation by the Balearics, the most important events are: the conference by the writer Baltasar Porcel at the Instituto Cervantes, the photographic exhibition by Antoni Catany at the John Stevenson Gallery, and the presentation and projection of the films "El Mar" directed by Agustí Villaronga and "Presence of mind" directed by Antoni Aloy, at the Hotel Roger Smith.

The "Setmana de la Cultura Catalana a Nova York" is part of the events of the Setmana del Llibre en Català, held from February 22 till March 4 in Barcelona, Girona, Lleida, Tarragona and Madrid; and from February 15 to 25 in Palma de Mallorca with the title "XII Setmana del Llibre Català".
