The group The Nash will perform at the
Sala
Sonotone in Palma (Plaza Gomila) on Friday, March 16. The Nash
was formed in Palma in 1996, with John Tirado from New York (singer, guitarist
and composer) and the drummer from Finland Maukka Palmio. Both came
from the Manhattan band scene, where they had played with a great number
of rock groups... That same year the band won the Pop-Rock Contest in Palma,
thanks to which they recorded their first record, "The Last Cigarette".
The Nash, with its present format, comprising the founder John Tirado
(vocals and guitar), Javier Ruiz (guitar and vocals), Ángel Cubero
(base) and José Luís García (drums), has performed
throughout Spain sharing stage with groups such as Superchunk, Dover
and Los Planetas. Recently they carried out a successful tour of New York,
playing in important clubs such as the legendary CBGB'S and the Continental
Club.
Their latest work, the mini-LP "Amps on", recorded by Bittersweet Recordings
and distributed by El Diablo!, includes six new songs full of energy that
will not leave rock lovers indifferent.
On Saturday March 17, the Sala Sonotone, will hold a second
concert
by "La Puta OPP".
