The team from the
UIB that is directed
by the computer professor,
Yuhua
Luo, together with six offices of associate architects, three in Spain,
two in Portugal and one in Holand, have finished the project "Multi-site
Cooperative 3D Design System for Architecture". This is a programme that
facilitates the architects situated in different geographical places to
have a virtual and tridemensional work table, with plans that they can
share and modify on line in real time.
The total cost of the project has come to three million euros, 50 per
cent supplied by the European Espirit Project, a third by the UIB and the
rest by the commercial partners.
Yuhua Luo is the director of the project and a group of pupils and graduates
in Computer studies have worked with her: David Sánchez, Antoni
Bennàssar, Joan Fornés, Joan Carles Serra, Juan Manuel Huéscar,
Josep Gayà and Jaume Ferragut. The six architects' offices that
have participated in the project includes
