New record by La Gran Orquesta Republicana

The Mallorcan band, "La Gran Orquesta Republicana" will present their new record at the Sala Sonotone in Palma, on Friday, 18 and Saturday 19 May at 10.30 p.m.

The new album, "Optimistas", recorded by the selfadministered company Tralla Records, is the third by the group after "Lo importante está en tu cabeza" (1999) and "Todos locos, todos contentos" (1997).

"Optimistas" has 14 new numbers full of mixed danceable rhythms: ska, reggae, ritmos latinos, punk... The words continue to be one of the group's priorities and in this new record they put music to a poem by Benedeti and an extract from a book by Galeano.
