Sa Fira de Sencelles

The traditional Spring fairs which are held in many Mallorcan towns in April and May continue. Next Sunday 20, the third in May, is the traditional Sencelles Fair.

The events of Sa Fira de Sencelles 2001 will start on Friday, May 18 at 8.30pm with the vernissage of three exhibitions at the Galeria Balearic Art: a photographic exhibition by Isabelle Stëger, a first exhibition by Maria Francisca Ferriol, and a watercolour exhibition by Guillem Crespí Alomar.

On Saturday May 19 as from 7.30pm there will be the vernissage of three shows at the Casa de Cultura: Exhibition by the pupils of the Ceramic and Painting Workshop of Sencelles, XV Show by the Workshop for Painting and Drawing of Sencelles and the Painting and Sculpture Exhibition by Rafel Suñer Forteza. As from 8.30pm there will be two more exhibitions: at the Es Quarter centre, paintings by Llorenç Ferragut and at the Celler de cas Felanitxer, paintings by Joan Nolla.

On Sunday May 20, the day of the Fair, as from 9am there will be a Ham Radio Exhibition in the Square, by the Unió de Ràdioaficionats de les Illes Balears, and in the sports centre an exhibition of birds and animals, plus another of ancient farm implements by Natura Parc. At 11.30am at the Sports Centre there will be a horse exhibition by Jacobo Guerra.
