The film "Nosotras" reaches Mallorca

This weekend the film "Nosotras" ("Dones" in the Catalan version) has reached the Mallorcan screens. It is the first film by the Catalan director, Judith Colell, based on the book of stories by the Valencian, Isabel Clara Simó. The film stars Mercedes Sampietro, Eulalia Ramon, Laura Conejero, Julieta Serrano, Sílvia Marsó, Eva Santolària, Marina Gatell, Ana Casas, Laura Cepeda, Carme Balagué and Emilio Gutiérrez Caba.

According to the director, "Dones" is not a feminine nor feminist film. It is a gallery of portraits and talks about many women. There are seven stories woven together about different women who will get to know each other, meet or only coincide during their lives.

The film will be shown at the Metropolitan in Palma not only in Spanish but also in Catalan within the campaign to promote Catalan cinema, by the General Direction of Linguistic Policy of the Balearic Government.
