The programme of Spring Fiestas organised by the Palma Town Council,
for Corpus Christi, started last Sunday, June 3 and will continue for two
weeks until Sunday June 17, the day Corpus is celebrated officially. Once
more, the most important part of the programme are the organised itineraries
and free visits to a total of 54 patios of mansion houses in the old part
of Palma --an artistic and historic heritage jewel of the city-- and the
classical music concerts held daily in some of the most beautiful Mallorcan
patios. All the concerts are free and start at 9 p.m., except the ones
on Sunday 10, at the Casal Solleric and at Ses Voltes that will be at 12
noon.
The concerts still to take place are the following:
- Thursday 7, at CAN VIVOT, Camerata Sa Nostra.
- Friday 8, at CAN VERÍ, piano concert by Francesc Mora.
- Saturday 9, at CAN MARCH, two pianos.
- Sunday 10, at SES VOLTES, concert by the Palma Municipal Band,
and at the CASAL SOLLERIC, Chamber Choir Scherzo.

Sunday 17, the religious ceremonies for the festivity of Corpus and
the traditional procession with flowers.
The Corpus, the last spring fiesta, is held in nearly all the towns
of Mallorca. In Pollença the procession acquires special colour
as it preserves ancient traditional elements: the "Ball de les Àguiles"
and the ritual dance of Sant Joan Pelós.
