The local festivities of Son Servera start next Friday, June 15 and
will last until Sunday 24, the day of Sant Joan. The programme of
events organised by the
Ajuntament
include a wide range of cultural, sporting and ludic proposals, including
the "Artisan and Animal Fair" that will take place next Sunday, June 17
from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m., and the celebration of Corpus Christi the same
Sunday at 8 p.m.
On Friday, June 15 the fiesta will start at 7.30 p.m. with the street
parade and the presentation by Serafí Nebot. In the evening,
an al fresco dinner, and concert by Sa Rual Jazz Mort.
On Saturday 16, there will be football, judo, exhibitions.... the day
will end with traditional dancing with the groups
Herbes
Dolces, S'Estol des Picot and Així Balla Manacor; as from 11
p.m. the grand Rock Night with Síndrome de Abstinencia, Moes, Take
it Easy, Hamlet and the Gran Orquesta Republicana.
On Sunday 17, as part of the Fair, there will be performances by the
Xeremiers and the Drum Band. At 6.30 before the mass and Corpus procession,
there will be human castles by the
Castellers
de Mallorca and
Al·lots
de Llevant.
On Monday 18, there will be theatre by the Companyia de Teatre Xesc
Forteza. On Tuesday 19, as from 10 p.m. the "IX Nit de Cant de Galls"
and the "IV Cursa Nocturna". Wednesday evening is dedicated to Spanish
dancing and Thursday 21 to karaoke. On Friday 22 there will be ballroom
dancing and as from 8.30 p.m. the concert with Gran Orquestra Miquel
Massot, Geminis, Tomeu Penya and
Ocults.
During the Saturday 23, there will be more sporting activities and in
the evening the "Nit de Sant Joan" with Sonor, Javaloyas, Top Hat, Filharmònica
de Son Reus and Antònia Font. At 6.30 a.m. at dawn, hot chocolate
and "ensaïmades" on the beach of the Costa des Pins.
On Sunday, Sant Joan, the religious service in honour of Saint John
the Baptist and different sports and entertainment. At 5 p.m. there
will be a grand children's party with
Cucorba;
in the evening a review-show presented by "Catalina Thomas"; and at midnight,
fireworks to end the festivities.
