Petra: Fiestas for Saint Praxedis

Once again, and as they have been doing for centuries, Petra will celebrate during July the fiestas for Santa Praxedis. The events will start on Saturday, July 14 and will continue for a week until Saturday 21, the patron saint's day.

As every year, there will be "corregudes de joies" with the devil, popular races, concerts, theatre, exhibitions and many other cultural, ludic and sporting activities.

Amongst other activities, there is a Catalan rock concert by Amb una Mica de Sort, Antònia Font and Lax'n Busto, on Friday 14 at 11 p.m.; the popular dance with Música Nostra and Vilafranca Balla i Bota, on Wednesday 18 at 10 p.m.; the opening of the new Town Hall, on Saturday 21 at 12.30 right after the religious ceremony for Santa Praxedis; and finally the traditional races and children's activities, on the same Saturday as from 5.30 p.m.
