Lluc presents its web coinciding with the celebration of "the Diada"

The Lluc Sanctuary celebrates between September 1 and 9 the fiestas for the Diada 2001. This year, coinciding with the Diada, as well as an complete programme of religious, the cultural and popular activities, the Sanctuary has prepared two new proposals that are worth mentioning. The first one is the exhibition of paintings and antique jewels of the Virgin, that will open on Saturday at 6 p.m. with a speech by the director of the Museum of Lluc, Elvira González. The second is the new web page of the Sanctuary, www.lluc.net, that will be presented by the Prior, Jaume Reynes, next Monday, at 9.30 h.

As for the programme of cultural activities that once again will take place at Lluc, worth mentioning is the open air dance, with the participation of traditional dancers from all over the island; and also the XXII Pujada de la Part Forana, organised by the Associació d'Antics Blavets, that will take place the night before the Diada, between September 8 and 9.

The religious events, the concert by the Escolania dels Blauets, theatre, children activities and a cooking show complete the program of the "Festes de la Diada 2001".
