La Casa del Cactus has
started its
“landing” in
Barcelona well. Over 50 people went on Thursday to the Espai Mallorca,
in the Calle de Carme, to attend the reading of phonetic poetry by Pere
Sousa, from the
Factoria Mertz
Mail.
Those attending enjoyed this cultural event, that finished with a group
activity by Sousa with the public, who he invited to read the first part
of the printed paper they had in their hands. In this way, Sousa ended
by reading the contents of a thousand peseta note, while the others read
the covers of a CD or underground tickets, amidst general laughter.
The number of the public multiplied in the Capella, in the Calle Hospital,
where many representatives of this collection of artists exhibit their
work. The opening ended with a show of dancing “Quan ses bistis volaven”,
by the company Au Ments. The exhibition also has animation on Internet
by
Juanmi Bauzà.
La Casa del Cactus is a
cultural project that was started five years ago in Ses Salines. One month
a year, a house from this town opens its doors to art, from a multidiscipline
perspective. And this diversity of artistic products is what is to be found
in the Catalan capital. A complete list of the participating artists, visiting
hours and exhibition sites can be found in
this
web site of the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona.
