Alcúdia Fair

Next weekend, October 5, 6 and 7, the traditional "Fira d'Alcúdia" will be held, with a complete programme of events that includes exhibitions, street parades, sports activities, dances, concerts...

On Friday, October 5, as from 6 p.m. several exhibitions will open, such as the one on antique carts, the one about canaries from the North of Mallorca and the one on old tools, amongst others. The programme for Saturday includes sports activities, the vernisage of the exhibition of antic toys, the one of Artisan crafts and the one of "Producte Balear". More over, it is worth stressing the traditional children party with the group S'estol del Rei En Jaume and the Xeremies from Alcúdia, that will end with a performance by the group Picarols; the cooking show "V Mostra de Cuina de Casa", and the popular dance with Sarau Alcudienc, S'Estol des Picot and Música Nostra.

The fair for Sunday will include an exhibition of animals, exotics bird, hunting animals, etc. and a horse show by the Menorcan riding school. The programme will finish with a concert by the local music band at 8 p.m.
