Exhibition and Workshops of Art in Sa Pobla
The exhibition, produced by the Projecte Llevant directed by Joan Carles Gomis, is an essential exhibition to visit to appreciate the evolution of artistic tendencies that have developed on Mallorca during the fifties and sixties, making way for the vanguard artists who finally appeared at the end of the sixties. We can find works by artists who are well known in Sa Pobla, such as Miquel Brunet, Juli Ramis or Miquel Morell, and works by other artists such as Longino, Mercant, Josep Bover, Joan Trujillo or Rivera Bagur, key names in Mallorcan art who have never exhibited in Sa Pobla.
Meanwhile, the Sa Pobla Contemporary Art Museum Work Shops will start on October 16. The workshops included in the programme are: Workshop II (from October 31, 2001 to February 5, 2002) Workshop of creative painting for adults (from October 16 to December 18, 2001) Workshop for printing and creation for children 6 to 8 years (from October 16 to December 18, 2001) Workshop for furniture restoring (from October 30, 2001 to May 21, 2002) Workshop for dried flowers and handicrafts (from October 23, 2001 to January 29, 2002) Photography Course II (from November 1, 2001 to March 28, 2002) Phography course for youngsters 10 to 15 years "the magic of photography" (from October 19, 2001 to January 25) Workshop in creative serigraphy (from October 16 to December 20, 2001) Monographic workshop on 'giant heads' (from November 6 to 22, 2001) Video workshop (from January 14 to April 15, 2002) Workshop for drawing with live model (as from November 2001) Workshop in drawing as from light (from January 24 to April 25, 2002).
