The Sa Nostra Cultural Centre in Palma will hold the cycle of lectures
"Immigració i racisme des de la comunicació", organised by
the Sindicat de Periodistes de les Illes Balears (
SPIB)
with the collaboration from the Fundació

The first of the five lectures programmed, "Inmigració i racisme",
by the writer and member of the European Parliament Sami Naïr will
be held on May 3.
The cycle will continue with the following lectures: May 13, "España,
frontera sur", by Javier Bauluz , journalist awarded with the Pulitzer
Prize 1995; May 27, "Immigració és integració", by
Xavier Nart, war journalist; June 3, "Solidaridad y racismo ante los inmigrantes
en España", by Tomás Calvo Buezas, founder of the Centro
de estudios sobre Emigración y Racismo; and finally, June 14, "África:
motivaciones de la emigración", by Ramón Lobo, journalist
of the newspaper El País.
All the lectures will beging at 8 p.m. and are free.
