From June 21 there are fiestas for Sant Pere in the Port of Alcúdia,
which will continue until Sunday 30. Afterwards, on July 1st and 2nd, at
the hermitage of the Mare de Déu de la Victòria, there will
be celebrations to honour the Saint.
The
programme
of the fiestas for Sant Pere, available on the web of the
Town
Council, includes a wide range of cultural, sporting and religious
events. Most of them closely connected to the sea, as the traditional procession
with the image of Sant Pere, the most outstanding activity that will be
held on Saturday 29, as from 7.30 p.m. As for the concerts, worth mentioning
is the performance by
David Civera,
that will take place the same day, at midnight.
The
programme
of the fiestas for the Mare de Déu de la Victòria, also
available on the web of the
Town Council,
is shorter but also very interesting because of its singularity. As usually,
on July 1st there will be a Mallorcan dance night with doughnuts, mistela
and flambé rum for everybody, this year with music by the local
group Tacàritx. On July 2nd, the fiesta for the Mare de Déu
de la Victòria will be held, including the typical races of "joies",
paella for everybody and traditional dances, amongst other activities.
