A little after the premier in
Sitges,
the work "L'enfonsament del Titànic", directed by Rafel Duran, reaches
the Mallorcan theatres this week within the
Festival
Teatres del Món. The production, an adaptation of the poems
by the German philosopher, Hans Magnus Enzensberger, is coproduced by the
Govern de les Illes Balears, the
Teatre
Internacional de Sitges and the
Grec
de Barcelona. A metaphor of the historic European catastrophe of the
XX century, interpreted by Caterina Alorda, Xavi Morte, Asun Planas,
Philip Rogers, Oscar Intente and Joaquim Alfaro, with stage production
by Rafel Lladó.
"L'enfonsament del Titànic" can be seen at the Teatre
Sa
Societat in Calvià, on Friday, June 7, at the
Auditòrium
Sa Màniga in Cala Millor, on Saturday 8; at the
Auditori
d'Alcúdia, on Sunday 9, and at the
Teatre
del Mar in Palma from June 13 to 16.
After the presentations on the Island, the production will be presented
at the festival
Grec 2002 in
Barcelona, from July 16 to 21.
