Music at the Parc de la Mar

Within the summer programme "Nits a la Fresca", organised by the Palma Town Council, several free performances are being held in Parc de la Mar. The events pending are:

On Wednesday, July 31, at 9 p.m., electronic and visual concert "Groove Year". The day after, Thursday, August 1, at 10 p.m., the Mallorcan music band Herbes Dolces will present their new record "De prop".

On Thursday, August 8, at 10 p.m., the group Gavina will play Havana songs and the programme will continue the following Thursday, August 15, at the same time, with the performances by the finalists of the musical contest Art Jove in the category of New Tendencies.

On Saturday, August 17, at 10 p.m., concert by the Deluxe and Plastic Face, and on Wednesday, August 21, also at 10 p.m., by Tomeu Estaràs & Genia Tobin.

On Saturday, August 24, at 10 p.m., music by Jet Lag and Australian Blonde and on Thursday, August 29, jazz by Edwin Beg Trio.

The programme will end on Saturday, August 31, with the "Festival Palma So 2002", pop-rock concert that will begin at 8 p.m.

More over, the Parc de la Mar is also holding until August 16 the musical festival "Cançons de la Mediterrània", aimed at promoting knowledge and friendship amongst the voices of different cultures.
