Aladrock wins the Art Jove 2002 contest for Ethnic Music

The group Aladrock won the contest "Música Jove Contemporània" in the category of "Música Ètnica", awarded with 2.300 euros. The final competition, which is part of the cultural programme Art Jove, organised by the Dirección General de Joventut del Govern Balear, was held on Thursday, August 15 at the Parc de la Mar.

As for the final competition in the categories of "Noves Tendències" held the same night, the jury gave two first prizes worth 1.000 euros tot the groups Roñatron and Geniva Aka Sineva, and a second prize worth 300 euros to the group Triligia del Conocimiento.

This groups, together with the winner of the rest of categories of "Música Jove Contemporània", will perform on September 7 at the Centre Cultural Costa Nord de Valldemossa. More over, the General Direction of Youth intends to edit a CD with songs by all of them.
