Fiestas in Puigpunyent

Although the events started on August 12, the "Festes de la Mare de Déu d'Agost" in Puigpunyent will officially begin next Wednesday, August 14, at 8 p.m., with the traditional reading of the proclamation of the fiestas at the square of the Town Council, this year by the Mallorcan singer-songwriter Maria del Mar Bonet. The same day, at 11 p.m., there will be an open air dance with music by Horris Kamoi, Orquesta Oasis and Malpaso.

On Thursday, August 15, the day of the "Verge d'Agost", the Solemn Mass will be celebrated at 11.30 a.m. and at night, amongst other activities, there will be a concert by Maria del Mar Bonet and Cap-pela.

The festive activities will continue until August 18. Some of the most interesting proposals are the popular supper with music by the Orquestra Miquel Massot, Fuego Latino and Alabama (Friday 16), the "Nit de Rock" with Fora des Sembrat, Mal Vici, Festa Sabonera, Txorrak and In Vitro (Saturday 17), and the theatre show by Pometes Teatre (Sunday 18).
