Sant Roc: fiestas in Alaró, Porreres, s'Alqueria Blanca, Cala Rajada...

On August 16 it is the day of "Sant Roc" and there will be fiestas in Alaró, Porreres, s'Alqueria Blanca, Cala Rajada... The fiestas in Alaró will begin on Friday 9 and will continue until the day of the patron saint, Friday 16. Saturday 10 will be one of the most active days, starting with a street parade by the Giants and Devils from Alaró and ending with a concert by Els Pets, Antònia Font, You-2 and some local bands. The concert by Tomeu Penya on Wednesday 14 is also very promising.

S'Alqueria Blanca, a small village in the municipality of Santanyí, also celebrates these days its patron saint festivities with popular and cultural activities that will continue until Friday 16, the day when the mass, the traditional "sonada" of bag pipes and the "joies" races will take place.
