The Martí Vicenç Museum, situated in the old house called
Can Sionet, within the architectural frame of the Calvari steps in Pollença,
has recently published in Catalan, Spanish and English its
web
page with vast information about the paintings, sculptures, textile
designs and other works by Martí Vicenç Alemany (Pollença,
1926-1995).
After the death of Martí Vicenç, founder of
Galeries
Vicenç, artisan textile workshop dedicated to the manufacture
of Mallorcan fabrics known popularly as Teles de Llengües, his wife,
Antònia Capllonch, has a large quantity of work that was created
by her husband's creative spirit. To present this work, she had the
idea of creating the Martí Vicenç Museum.
The Martí Vicenç Museum is an intimate museum in which
the evolution of the man, the artisan and the artist can be seen. The entrances
is free and the visiting times are from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m.
to 1.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1.30
p.m. On Monday it is closed.
