Iguana Teatre premiers "Macbeth" at the Teatre del Mar

UPDATE (02/10/2002): The premiere has been postponed until October 10.

The Mallorcan theatrical group, Iguana Teatre will premiere on October 3 at the Teatre del Mar their new production, "Macbeth", based on one of the most famous and most represented texts by Shakespeare.

Directed by Pere Fullana, Iguana Teatre will put on stage a very personal version of this drama from the point of view of the jester, with a moral conception about fear, the inevitable destiny and and evil, completely different from the usual one. The tragic story of ambition by Shakespeare will be interpreted by five contemporary clowns far away from human behaviour.

The show, that forms part of the Festival Teatres del Món organised by the Fundació Balears 21, will be the first activity of the season Temporada de Tardor 2002 del Teatre del Mar and will continue until October 20.
