Paintings by Feito and photographs by Scianna at the Solleric

Paintings by Feito Luis Feito, photographs by Ferdinando Scianna, installation by Domingo Sánchez Blanco and finalist works in the design contest Art Jove

Once the exhibition by the Mallorcan artist, Miquel Brunet, has ended, the main and ground floors of the Casal Solleric in Palma will hold until November 3, 2002, the anthological exhibition "Feito. Obra 1952-2002", commissioned by Marta González Orbegozo. This exhibition, that has been seen this summer in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia (MNCARS) in Madrid, has a selection of paintings by Luis Feito (Madrid, 1929) in the last fifty years. Part of the exhibition, namely the works on paper, is housed in the polyvalent hall of the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró in Palma.

After the exhibition dedicated to the artist Vicente Pascual, the mezzanine floor of the Casal Solleric is holding until October 20, 2002 the exhibition "Las formas del caos" by Ferdinando Scianna (Sicilia, 1943) with a selection of works carried out by this prestigious Italian photographer during his almost 35 years of professional activity.

As far as the Espai Quatre, hall in the basement of the Solleric, it is holding until December 1, 2002, the show "Conferencia para champiñones" by Domingo Sánchez Blanco (Salamanca, 1955), the winning artist with the videoinstallation "Clase de pintura. 1a parte. Juego de extraños" of the Antoni Gelabert prize for Plastic Arts awarded by the Ayuntamiento de Palma in January of this year as part of the Premis Ciutat de Palma.

The three exhibitions were opened last September 19 within the programme of the sixth edition of "Nit de l'Art", organised by the Associació Independent de Galeries d'Art de Balears (AIGAB).

Finally, we mention that in the patio of the Casal Solleric, at the moment there is an exhibition by the finalists of the design contest Art Jove 2002, organised by the Dirección General de Juventud of the Council for Welfare of the Balearic Government.
