"Passatemps" at the Arta Fair

On Friday, September 6, the events of the "Fira d'Artà 2002" will begin. The programme, available in PDF format on the web of the Town Council, is inspired in pastimes games, including a photo of Artà where you must spot 9 errors and a word search puzzle containing 7 words relating the fair.

As for the content of the programme, worth stressing are the concerts that s'Arrual Jazz Mort and Dounia Hedreville will give at the Teatre d'Artà, on September 6 and 7 respectively; the alternative fair and wine tasting with music by xeremiers that will take place in the gardens of Na Batlessa on Saturday night; the "Combat de gloses de picat" between Mallorca and Menorca at the terrace of the Teatre d'Artà on September 12; and the presentation of Rossini's opera "Un turco en Italia" by the Orquestra Simfònica de Balears and the Choir of Calvià, on Friday 13 at the Teatre d'Artà.

Amongst many other activities, it is also worth mentioning the exhibitions that can be visited theses days in Artà, such as "La biblioteca de Miquel Barceló" or the exhibition of antiques by Toni Socies.

The fair on Sunday, September 8, will include an exhibition of animals, vehicles, implements and tools of all kinds.
