The
GOB has
presented
an appeal against the
Special
Plan for the Protection of the Historic Place for the properties of the
Archduke Ludwig Salvatore of Austria. According to the ecologist organisation,
the Plan does not include the whole of Son Ferrandell leaving without protection
35 % of the area of this property that was acquired by the Archduke Ludwig
Salvatore of Austria.
The full council meeting of the
Insular
Council of Mallorca passed on April 8, 2002, the Special Plan, that
protects the stately homes acquired by Archduke Ludwig Salvatore of Austria
between 1872 and 1901 in Valldemossa and Deià. These properties
are:
Miramar,
s'Estaca, Son Ferrandell, Son Gual, sa Torre, Can Costa, Son Moragues,
sa Font Figuera, and Son Galceran, in Valldemossa; and Son Gallard,
Son
Marroig and sa Pedrissa, in Deià. The total area affected by
the Plan is 1,756 hectares.
